Alicante - the main City on the Costa Blanca is steeped in history and spanish culture dating back to the early 1600?s, where monuments, Castillo de Santa Barbara, statues, art galleries and museums are wide spread. The city boasts a lovely Marina and wide esplanade complete with sea food restaurants, salsa bars, shops, markets, al fresco cafes and night-clubs. Alicante Airport serves the Costa Blanca, transfer time from the airport to the centre of the city is around fifteen minutes. Alicantes?s coastline boasts the golden sandy beach of Playa de San Juan which stretches 7 km, the beach is accessible by a short bus ride away from the centre of Alicante. Accommodation in Alicante is plentiful, with some rather appealing cosmopolitan and upmarket hotels and holiday apartments to be found within the city and surrounding area. For a more relaxing day out or holiday then head to Denia, also located on the Mediterranean coast of Costa Blanca situated in between Alicante and Valencia this friendly peaceful town offers a welcoming retreat from all the excitement of Benidorm and Alicante. Denia is a pretty town littered with many orange and lemon groves set amongst some beautiful scenery where Islamic and Roman ruins can be explored, churches, cathedrals and sculptures. Like the other major resorts on the Costa Blanca, Denia can offer nice hotels, villas and apartments as well as good traditional spanish restaurants and bars. Denia?s coastline is a mixture of soft sandy beaches and rocky pebble ones. The most popular stretch of coastline in Denia is the Las Rotas Beach which is very clean and less crowded than the resorts of Costa Blanca beaches. Water sports are in abundance and Denia hosts some of the most popular ones including water-skiing, surfing, snorkelling and diving. For fun days out in the sun - boat tours operate daily from Denia to the Balearic Islands.

Entry into Spain is possible without the need to apply for a visa if you are a EU passport holder. Your passport will have to be valid at time of travel.
